What a fab way to celebrate a Thursday evening in the big smoke!

For the best part of six months, a ton of people have been working with the incredible Fatima Whitbread MBE to collaborate on an amazing idea the great lady had; to co-create and author a book filled with stories of resilience and achievement.

Based on her own journey of resilience as a child growing up in the UK care system, Fatima pulled together an eclectic mix of people to share their stories of resilience. A book filled with optimism and hope and littered with nuggets of wisdom about what resilience is and what it means to be resilient.

Last night the book was officially launched and what an event it was too.

I've had the good fortune of hearing Fatima speak on a few occasions and despite her slightness in size, she fills the room with her ability to tell a story and capture your heart.

Last night wasnt a celebration of a Fatima's resilience (although by heck she has it in abundance) but rather it was a platform to put more attention on something she's even more passionate about - reforming the UK care system so kids can have a better shot at life.

Fate gave me an opportunity to meet this fabulous lady two years ago and what followed gave me the opportunity to be a part of this amazing book and campaign.

I may have played a tiny part in it in the grand scheme of things but hopefully the rewards generated by the campaign can be exponential for those in the care system now and in the future.

A huge thanks to Fatima Whitbread MBE for allowing me to be part of this. To One Golden Nugget for their incredible work bringing this to life. To GINA GARDINER RADICAL CHANGE CATALYST AND LEADERSHIP ADVISOR for all the conversation that proceeded this at the CEO Sleepout UK where this connection first began in 2024 and to all the other wonderful contributors who shared in this incredible collaboration.

The book is available here at Amazon 🔗 https://lnkd.in/exjSq_qH
